What you can outsource to Arcesso

Arcesso takes on outsourced software work that has a clear goal and an owner on your side. That can be a whole product, such as a SaaS app or a mobile app, or one part of a product, such as a billing system, an admin portal, an integration or an AI feature.

Every outsourced project starts with a paid, fixed-price discovery that maps the workflow, the data and the risks. The discovery fee is credited in full to the build. At the end, you get a scope document, an architecture sketch, a dated plan and a fixed quote or monthly rate.

We build on tools we use every week: Next.js, React, Node, Python and Postgres on the web; React Native and Flutter for mobile; AWS, Vercel and Supabase in the cloud; Stripe for payments; and OpenAI, Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini for AI features.

Fixed price or monthly: choosing how to pay

Arcesso offers two ways to pay for outsourced work: a fixed price or a monthly rate. A fixed price suits work with a clear scope, such as an MVP, a module or a migration. The risk of overrun sits with Arcesso, and changes go through a short written change request.

A monthly rate suits work where the scope will change as you learn, such as a product that is already live and growing. You get a set team for the month, a weekly demo, and the freedom to change priorities between sprints.

Arcesso agrees the price after discovery, not before, because a quote without a scope is a guess. For market context, Clutch reports the average custom software project at about $132,480 across the firms it reviews, with most projects in the $10,000–49,999 band. Nearshore vs offshore vs US-based

Nearshore, offshore and US-based vendors differ mainly in rates, working-hour overlap and which law governs the contract. Nearshore usually means a team in Latin America. Offshore usually means a team in Asia or Eastern Europe. Arcesso is a US-based company with offices in Jacksonville, Florida and Arlington, Texas.

Lower hourly rates are real, but they are only one line of the total cost. Rework, slow feedback across time zones and a hard-to-enforce contract can erase the saving. Compare the whole picture below.

Choose a nearshore or offshore vendor when the rate is your main constraint and you have a strong in-house lead to manage the work. Choose a US-based partner like Arcesso when you want one accountable lead, US contract terms and full overlap with your team's working day.

What a US contract changes for you

A US contract makes the terms you rely on easier to read, enforce and act on. Your agreement is with Arcesso LLC, a US company, under US law. If something goes wrong, you are dealing with a business you can reach, in your time zone, with terms written in plain English.

The terms that matter most are written into every Arcesso agreement:

  • You own 100% of the code and IP from the first commit, in writing.
  • A mutual NDA is in place within 24 hours of asking.
  • Kickoff happens within 14 days of signing.
  • Fixed-price discovery is credited in full to the build.
  • Code lives in your repo and deploys to your cloud accounts, not ours.
  • A named, US-based lead is accountable for delivery and replies within one business day.

How we keep an outsourced project on track

Arcesso keeps outsourced projects on track with short sprints and a working demo every week. You never wait months to see progress. Each demo shows real software you can click through, and you can change priorities between sprints.

Communication follows a fixed rhythm: a short written update every day in one shared Slack channel, a weekly demo, and a planning session with the lead. If a risk appears, such as a slow third-party API or a scope question, the lead raises it in writing the same week with options and their cost.

Every AI feature gets evals before it gets prompts, so quality is measured against real examples instead of opinion. At launch, we deploy to your accounts, turn on monitoring and logging, and record a handover call so your team knows how the system works.

When outsourcing is not the right choice

Outsourcing is the wrong choice when the product is still only an idea that changes every week. A fixed price needs a fixed scope. If you cannot yet say what the first version must do, start with discovery or an AI readiness assessment instead of a build contract.

Outsourcing is also a poor fit if you want to direct engineers hour by hour. In that case, staff augmentation gives you more control. If you need a long-running team for a live product, a dedicated development team usually works better than a series of projects.

Finally, if price is the only deciding factor, a lower-rate offshore vendor may fit your budget better than Arcesso. We would rather say that on the first call than win a project we cannot deliver well.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask us

What does software development outsourcing cost?

Arcesso sets a fixed price or monthly rate after a fixed-price discovery, and the discovery fee is credited in full to the build. For market context, Clutch reports an average custom software project of about $132,480, with most projects between $10,000 and $49,999. Your price depends on scope, integrations and timeline.

Should I choose a fixed price or a monthly rate?

Choose a fixed price when the scope is clear, such as an MVP, a module or a migration, because Arcesso then carries the overrun risk. Choose a monthly rate when the product is live and priorities will change. Many clients start fixed-price for version one, then move to monthly for ongoing work.

How soon can an outsourced project start?

Arcesso kicks off within 14 days of signing. Before that, discovery typically takes 1–2 weeks and ends with a scope, a dated plan and a fixed quote. Pilots and MVPs usually ship in 2–8 weeks after kickoff, while larger products follow the dates in the plan.

Who owns the code when I outsource to Arcesso?

You own 100% of the code and IP from the first commit, in writing. The code lives in your repo and deploys to your cloud accounts, so there is nothing to buy back at the end. A mutual NDA is in place within 24 hours of asking, before you share any code or data.

Is Arcesso a nearshore or offshore company?

Arcesso is a US-based software and AI development company headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, with an office in Arlington, Texas. Contracts are with Arcesso LLC under US law, and every project has a US-based lead who works US business hours. We use nearshore and offshore only to compare options.

How do I see progress on an outsourced project?

You see a working demo every week, plus a short written update every day in one shared Slack channel. The code lives in your repo, so you can read every pull request. If a risk appears, the lead raises it in writing the same week, with options and their cost.

What happens after launch?

Every Arcesso launch includes a 30-day warranty period in which we fix anything that misses the agreed scope. After that, you can choose a monthly retainer for ongoing work, or walk away with the code, documentation, runbook and a recorded handover call. Everything is already in your accounts.
