SaaS Development Services
Arcesso builds SaaS products for founders and product teams, from a six-week MVP to a multi-tenant platform. Every build covers sign-in, roles, Stripe billing, an admin console and usage analytics. A typical first paid release takes 8 to 20 weeks, and you own the code and IP from the first commit.

SaaS products we build
Arcesso builds B2B and vertical SaaS products that charge customers a subscription for a focused workflow. Most clients are founders launching a first version, or companies turning an internal tool into a product they can sell.
Vertical SaaS serves one industry, such as clinics, logistics firms or home service businesses, and wins by fitting that industry's rules better than a general tool. B2B workflow SaaS replaces a spreadsheet process that many companies share. AI-assisted SaaS uses language models to read, draft or decide inside that workflow, with a human in the loop.
We start every SaaS project by naming the one job a customer will pay for, then build only what that job needs. Features that do not support the first sale wait for version two. Arcesso is not the right choice if you need a large consumer social app at launch scale; a bigger team suits that better.
Architecture: multi-tenancy, auth, billing and analytics
A SaaS product needs four foundations from day one: tenancy, authentication, billing and analytics. Getting them wrong early is the most common reason SaaS products need an expensive rebuild later.
Arcesso uses Postgres row-level security or schema separation for tenant isolation, chosen per product and tested with automated cross-tenant checks. Billing runs on Stripe, so card data never touches your servers, which keeps PCI scope small. Analytics events are defined in scoping, so you can measure activation from the first customer.
- Multi-tenancy: every query scoped to a tenant, with tests that try to read another tenant's data
- Auth: email, Google and Microsoft sign-in, roles and permissions, SSO for larger customers
- Billing: Stripe plans, trials, seats or usage pricing, invoices and failed-payment recovery
- Analytics: product events, activation and retention dashboards, plus audit logs
SaaS development cost and timeline
SaaS development cost depends mostly on the number of workflows, user roles and integrations in the first paid release. Billing complexity matters too: usage-based pricing costs more to build than simple monthly plans.
For context, Clutch reports an average custom software project of $132,480 across reviewed agencies, with average monthly spend of $10,209. Those are industry figures, not Arcesso prices. A focused SaaS MVP costs far less than a full platform, which is why we often start there.
Arcesso's timeline is typically six weeks for an MVP and 8 to 20 weeks for a first paid release with billing, admin and analytics. Arcesso quotes a fixed price after a one- to two-week scoping sprint, and the fee is credited in full to the build. The custom software development cost guide at /resources/guides/custom-software-development-cost/ explains the drivers in detail.
Building SaaS in-house vs with Arcesso
An in-house team suits funded SaaS companies with a long roadmap. An outside team suits founders who need a first version fast. Many clients do both: Arcesso builds version one, then hands it to the team they hire.
The table compares the two paths for a first release. If you already have a strong in-house team and only need extra hands, staff augmentation may fit better than a full build.
| Factor | Build with Arcesso | Hire an in-house team |
|---|---|---|
| Time to start | Kickoff within 14 days of signing | Months of recruiting |
| Cost model | Fixed price per scope | Salaries, benefits and recruiting fees |
| Team range | Full-stack, mobile, AI and DevOps on demand | Limited to who you hire |
| Long-term product knowledge | Captured in docs and handover | Stays in the team |
| Best for | First release or a defined module | Continuous product development |
Adding AI features to a SaaS product
Arcesso adds AI to SaaS products as features customers pay for, not as a label. Typical examples are an assistant that answers questions from a customer's own data, automatic document extraction, and drafting replies inside a workflow.
Multi-tenant AI needs extra care. Each tenant's data stays separate in search indexes and prompts, so one customer's documents can never appear in another's answers. We test that with automated checks, and every AI feature gets an evaluation set before launch.
We build on OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini and open-weight models, with no-training settings on every vendor. Usage is metered per tenant, so you can price AI features in Stripe and protect your margins as usage grows. If a feature does not need AI, we build it without AI.
From MVP to scale
A SaaS product grows in stages, and each stage needs different engineering work. Arcesso plans the first release so the next stages do not require a rewrite.
Early on, speed and learning matter most, so we keep the architecture simple. Once paying customers arrive, the work shifts to reliability, onboarding and billing edge cases. Larger customers then ask for enterprise features. The list below shows what each stage usually adds.
- MVP: one core workflow, sign-in, Stripe checkout and basic analytics
- First paid release: roles, plans and trials, admin console, email notifications
- Growth: performance work, integrations, usage pricing and better onboarding
- Enterprise: SSO, audit logs, data export and security reviews for buyers
- Handover: docs and a runbook so your own team can take over at any stage

FAQ
Questions buyers ask us
How much does it cost to build a SaaS product?
SaaS cost depends on the number of workflows, user roles, integrations and how complex the billing model is. Clutch reports an average custom software project of $132,480 across reviewed agencies. Arcesso often starts with a fixed-scope MVP, then quotes a fixed price for the first paid release after a one- to two-week scoping sprint.
How long does it take to build a SaaS MVP?
An Arcesso SaaS MVP takes six weeks of build after a one-week scoping sprint. A first paid release with roles, plans, an admin console and analytics typically takes 8 to 20 weeks. Kickoff happens within 14 days of signing, and you see a working demo every week, so progress is never a surprise.
What is multi-tenancy and why does it matter?
Multi-tenancy means one SaaS application serves many customers while keeping each customer's data separate. Arcesso builds tenant isolation into the database layer and runs automated tests that try to read another tenant's data. A tenancy mistake is a data breach, so we treat it as a security requirement, not a detail.
Do you set up Stripe billing?
Yes. Arcesso builds Stripe billing for monthly or annual plans, free trials, per-seat pricing and usage-based pricing, plus invoices and failed-payment recovery. Plans are tied to feature access in the app. Because Stripe handles card data, your servers never store card numbers, which keeps your PCI scope small.
Can you add AI features to our existing SaaS?
Yes. Arcesso adds AI assistants, document extraction and workflow automation to existing SaaS products. Each tenant's data stays separate in prompts and search indexes, every feature is tested against an evaluation set, and usage is metered per tenant so you can price AI features in Stripe and protect your margins.
Who owns the SaaS code and customer data?
You own 100% of the code and IP from the first commit, written into the contract. Customer data lives in your own database and cloud accounts, not Arcesso's. Model vendors are set to no-training modes, so your customers' data is not used to train AI models. You can move the product in-house at any time.
Can you take over a SaaS built by another team?
Yes. Arcesso starts a takeover with a fixed-price code and architecture review that lists security, tenancy, billing and performance issues with fix estimates. Then we fix what matters most first. If the codebase was generated with AI tools such as Lovable or Bolt, the review also checks auth and data access closely.
